I know the world is very concerned about the spread of COVID-19 right now and rightly so. I do want to take the opportunity to spread the message about another epidemic in our lives that kills thousands of people each year - distracted driving. The statistics are staggering. One in four car crashes involves distraction.
Right now, 10% of the drivers on the road are using their cell phones.
When you look down at your phone to text, it's like driving with your eyes closed for the length of a football field.
The solution is very simple but requires commitment. Let's put our phones away while driving. This simple act will save thousands of lives each year.
